Advice & Consultancy

Are you looking for an informal and friendly advisory visit service?

Would you like the opportunity to walk around your outdoor space, and discuss your concerns with an early years expert who has several years of experience in successfully helping schools and settings to create enabling environments?

Why not invite Gail to visit your school or setting  to observe how you are currently using your outdoor environment, and to hear about the specific challenges and barriers you are facing.  You will have an opportunity to discuss and reflect on your practice and Gail will help you to identify potential solutions and work out your next steps.

Gail is a member of Learning through Landscapes’ quality assured and accredited network of grounds professionals.

Local Authorities and other Early Years organisations wanting to book the Outdoor Matters Advisory Visit Service for a number of schools or settings should get in touch to discuss their specific requirements. Click here to contact Gail

What will an Advisory Visit & Consultation cost?

Outdoor Matters charges individual schools and settings £250 (inclusive of travel expenses) for a 2 hour on-site Advisory Visit & Consultation.

This includes

  • a tour of the outdoor space
  • observations and discussions regarding the current use of the space
  • a discussion with key staff around the challenge and barriers to developing an enabling outdoor environment
  • identification of possible next steps.

In addition to the initial visit Outdoor Matters offers two further follow up services that schools and setting can opt into for an additional cost

Advisory Visit Report:

The written report includes the key priorities identified during the visit, sources of further advice and information, as well as the next steps and details about the process of developing the outdoor space.

Progress Update Visit:

Outdoor Matters offers schools and settings the option of a follow up visit to review progress so far and provide further advice.
